We will review some common writing errors. Students will also work on a reading assignment and will finish the writing assignment from yesterday.

Incorrect: Mel lives in Winnipeg, she lives with her husband.

Correct: Mel lives in Winnipeg with her husband

Mel lives in Winnipeg and she lives with her husband.

Mel lives in Winnipeg. She lives with her husband.

REMEMBER:

In a run-on sentence, you will find two or more complete sentences that are joined together without appropriate punctuation or conjunction. A run-on sentence will have more than one subject and more than one predicate.
