  3. Do the Malala -Ch.1 assignment in Google Classroom and turn in to me when finished. I will also post the Ch. 1 paragraph assignment if any students want to type it in there. Most students have already sent me an email of this assignment, so this if just for students who have not done it yet. (Due today)
  4. Re-read Ch. 2 of Who is Malala?
  5. Complete the Ch. 2 Questions assignment in Google Classroom. (Due today)

  7. Wednesday was Earth Day. Here are some interesting activities related to Earth Day. Choose one or more (click on the titles) and do it on your own. You may wish to do an activity with your children too.:

In this activity, you will learn about Canada’s energy story by exploring where, how, and why different types of energy are produced in Canada. You will learn about Canada’s power generation stations, oil refineries, wind farms, and more.

Canada’s Atlantic Ocean & Fisheries
In this activity, you will explore the Atlantic Ocean, collapse of the Atlantic cod, current state of Atlantic fisheries and sustainable management practices.

Take a closer look at understanding the global scale of human activities, how humans have modified the Earth’s limited land space, and discover the various ways forests are essential to life on Earth, and see how they’re faring today.

Hello Students!

Thank you to those students who have been joining my Google Meetings and emailing me your completed assignments.

We WILL NOT have a class meeting today. However, if any students need to contact me today, I will be available in an open, optional meeting at 12:00 – 1:00 today. I have emailed you the link. Feel free to join me at this time if you need to speak to me or ask me anything.

We were supposed to have our next class meeting tomorrow. However, tomorrow is an In-service day, so there WILL NOT be any classes tomorrow, Friday. I will be participating in online staff meetings tomorrow, so I will not be available to answer your emails or meet with students. We will have our next class meeting on Monday at 1:00. I will send a reminder email on Monday morning.

Today’s Lesson:

  1. Re-read Ch. 2 of Who is Malala?
  2. Write either a Retell, Relate or Reflect paragraph about Ch. 2. Make sure to use at least one of the Ch. 2 vocabulary words in your paragraph (from the Malala study booklet -pg. 11). Once you have edited it and corrected all your mistakes, please email it to me. If possible, please type the paragraph on your computer. If not, just send me a picture of your writing. This paragraph is not due until next week.
