To make a regular plural possessive, just add an apostrophe.

Example: the books of the teachers ————– the teachers’ books.

To make an irregular plural noun that does not end in s possessive, add an apostrophe and s.

Example: the toys of the children —————— the children‘s toys

Students worked on completing the Ch. 4 & Ch. 5 assignments and the reflections (turn in). There will be a quiz on Ch. 3 & 4 vocabulary this week.

In Chapter 5, we noticed an apostrophe was used after an s, several times. This is used when there is a plural possessive noun.

Example for Ch. 5:

“However, the Obamas’ life as new parents was very different from Michelles’ parents.” (pg. 54)

We will discuss this further in class tomorrow. There is more information about this below.
