Students continued to work on the music unit today.

Students will complete the assignment about the prefix “un” and the prepositions of location using at, in, and on. We will correct this assignment together to ensure understanding. Students will also practice writing supporting sentences and detail sentences and begin to plan their paragraph writing about music.

Students will continue to read about music and movies and complete a vocabulary assignment. We will read together and discuss. Students will also start working on an assignment about the prefix “un” and prepositions of locations using at, on, and in.

REMINDER: There is NO SCHOOL tomorrow, Friday, April 26. Have a nice long weekend! 🙂

We will read yesterday’s reading about shopping and music together and go over the main idea and details. Students will also read another article about music and movies and complete another vocabulary assignment (hand in).

We will start a new unit today about Music. How does music make you feel? Do you like to listen to music? What kind of music do you like? When/where do you like to listen to music? Write about this in your journal. Students will read an article about shopping and music and complete an assignment identifying the main ideas and details. Students will complete a vocabulary assignment related to the reading (hand in).

Students will finish presenting the persuasive speeches today. Students will also write in their journals about (choose one): your weekend, OR your opinion about living in Canada vs. living in your home country, OR where you would live if you could live anywhere in the world.

Students will finish their good copies of their opinion paragraphs today. We will also start the persuasive speeches today. If we don’t finish all of them today, we will continue on Monday.

REMINDER: Report cards are available to pick up in the office today. There is NO SCHOOL tomorrow (Good Friday). Have a wonderful long weekend! 🙂

Students will work on completing the opinion paragraphs today. Make sure to meet with a partner in class to edit each other’s paragraphs.

Should students be allowed to bring cell phones to school? We’ll discuss this topic and students will finish writing their opinions about this. Students will also continue to work on their opinion paragraph about lying.

Extra Credit Assignment: Students will present persuasive speeches on Thursday, April 18.

Term 4 begins today. All marks have been submitted to the system. Report cards are available for pick up on Thursday in the office. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication in this course.
