I am hoping that all students will be able to start using Google Classroom this week. Some students have already joined my Google Classroom, which is great! πŸ™‚ Thank you! I will help some students join GC in our small meetings today. I have emailed each student instructions on how to access Google Classroom and also your student emails, student numbers, and the classroom code. Please try to join my Google Classroom.

Today’s Lesson:

  1. Join my Google Classroom
  2. Do the Malala -Ch.1 assignment in Google Classroom and turn in to me when finished.
  3. Re-read Ch. 2 of Who is Malala?
  4. Write either a Retell, Relate or Reflect paragraph about Ch. 2. Make sure to use at least one of the Ch. 2 vocabulary words in your paragraph (from the Malala study booklet -pg. 11). This paragraph will be due on Google Classroom. If you have not written it yet, please wait for me to assign it in Google Classroom and type it in there.
  5. Make sure that Lesson 2 is complete and ready to mark in small groups (we will correct it today).

Here is the Retell, Relate, Reflect instructions for both the Ch. 1 & 2 assignments. You need to choose to either retell or relate or reflect on Ch. 1 & 2 (1 paragraph for EACH chapter).:

Students also need to complete the Reading, Writing & Vocabulary assignment – Lesson 2 (Poem). We will correct it together at the class meetings on Tuesday. Here is the assignment if you don’t have it.:

Students who are finished all of the above assignments can work on the extra practice booklets that were given to you in March before the school closed. Students may also choose to do the optional Narrative Writing assignment at the end of Lesson 2 for extra marks.
